ESS IBDP 1 students visited Nohye el Ard community garden in Saida to know more about sustainable agriculture. They saw how healthy soil, natural compost, and planting different kinds of crops work together to grow fresh, pesticide-free food. The best part? Everyone got to plant their own seedlings! They also learned about Saida’s old gravity-fed irrigation system, a clever method sadly lost because of war. This visit was a powerful reminder that by valuing nature, we can build a healthier future for ourselves and our planet.
