HHHS MUN

Dearest delegates, Welcome to the 13th HHHSMUN Human Rights Council! We are so glad to have you with us, and we cannot wait to meet you all! We hope this conference sustains your passion, offers competition, maintains respect, and most importantly creates great memories. We are extremely determined to make this MUN unforgettable for all of you, from first timers to delegates who may have more experience than us.

My name is Lara Assi, and I am thrilled to be one of your co-presidents this year! I am currently in IBDP1 and have gained a lot of experience over the years. When I first joined MUN in the 8th grade, I found it terrifying, and surely never expected that I would continue to participate in more overtime. However, it was that younger version of myself and the fear I had transformed into confidence that made me who I am today. Without said journey, who knows where I’d be; I surely would not have been a co-president of the HRC committee, an MUNer with a winning streak, and someone who has made lifelong friends.

I am Nadeem Darazi, one of your co-presidents in the 13th HHHSMUN Human Rights Council. I’m an IB1 student with a great passion for MUN. Even though my journey started in 2023, my win the 12th HHHSMUN’s General Assembly cemented my commitment to improve. I’ve done 6 MUNS by the time you’re seeing this, and on a 5-win streak. From the WHO to the Lebanese Civil War Crisis committee, every MUN has fundamentally changed my life. I’ve become confident, fierce, and not wary of straying from my comfort zone. Nevertheless, MUN isn’t just a place to build skill; it’s a place where I’ve met lifelong friends who are the few to have experienced such events and conferences alongside me. As for the first timers, I know it might seem overwhelming and frightening, but the people you will meet here and the community that you leave with will help you throughout the conference.
