Against All
Odds!
2 Dec 2020
February 29th, 2020 was the date our learners were
forced by a merciless pandemic to bid their school
farewell. Nine months passed since they left their
classes and playgrounds empty to stay confined in the
comfort of their homes. Each nook and cranny in our
department missed their excited voices and joyful
laughter. And although HHHS family, worked hard to make
the online learning journey as successful as possible,
nothing beats the joy of children reuniting with their
teachers and friends in the heart of their beloved
school.
The decision to reopen was not an easy one. We waited
for the right moment, based on the recommendations of
governmental and official health authorities, in order
to take the necessary precautions and equip our
establishment with the required safety materials to
welcome our students back.
We made sure that the safety of our staff and our
learners always comes first by checking the temperature
of visitors, teachers, and learners at the main
entrance, wearing masks or face shields at all times,
rearranging our learning areas while leaving a space of
1.5 meters between one table and another, equipping the
tables with protective shields to separate learners
sitting at the same table, ventilating the classes every
day, using hand-sanitizers before entering classrooms,
disinfecting our furniture, and placing feet mats in the
halls to guide our learners and help them abide by the
social distancing rule.
First days are always the most exciting, they are a
vibrant mixture of emotions. However, the first day back
to school in the time of Covid-19 has a totally
different taste for learners. They have been counting
the days to be back and so are we teachers. Praying for
everyone’s safety and a successful new beginning…
Welcome back to school HHHS preschoolers!
