"Let's Boost Our Immune System"

20 Dec 2018

As a step to boost our learner's immune system, which does a towering job in defending their bodies against disease-causing microorganisms, an educative session under the title of "Let's Boost Our Immunity" was conducted to all 6th, 7th and 8th graders in the Middle School Division. The overall goal was to promote students' healthy lifestyles through reducing risks of illness especially during school time in an attempt to develop their immunity and diminish absenteeism from school. This session has enhanced our learners' knowledge and taught them some significant tips on how to strengthen immunity and fight diseases, adopt healthy living strategies, improve their diets, check what is best for them with their family doctor and to let HEALTH be their choice during the New Year festive seasons of their lives! Moreover, educational handouts were distributed to raise the awareness of students about the tips of developing immunity in order to decrease the risk of illness especially the flu. In addition, HHHS Nursing Department, in collaboration with the biology department, has organized several activities at the middle school division such as creating posters and decorating bulletins in an attempt to let the school community know what the signs of weakened immune system are, how to boost immune system naturally and how to prevent diseases by following nursing education.
